With more educational options than ever, parents and scholars want something that stands out from traditional instruction. Students and families often say the student-driven Lincoln experience is unlike any they've had before. With academic expectations changing faster every day, our educators are responsive to the needs of students for today and tomorrow.
Whether projects in the classroom, performances in the theater, or goals on the sports field, we create a top-tier learning experience like no other.
From AP classes to internships, we're preparing students to learn and lead at a collegiate level. Students begin working with a guidance counselor from the start to find the right college and career path, and AVID and ASPIRE programs ensure they are consistently and actively working toward their goals. Dedicated LHS teachers help students build the stamina and confidence required to succeed. Our college-prep curriculum features advanced core classes plus six world languages. LHS is a hub of excellence, growth, and opportunity with Career Tech Electives, including Robotics, Business Management, Computer Science, Culinary Arts, Mass Communications, and Product Design.
Authorized since 1989 to offer the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme, Lincoln provides a selection of over 55 courses through the most robust and comprehensive IB program in Oregon. Our students can opt to enroll as Diploma Candidates or as Course Candidates. Internationally recognized, IB is rigorous, stimulating, and rewarding for students who take on the challenge. The program exposes students to multiple perspectives, teaches them to articulate their opinions, develops breadth and depth of knowledge, and builds organizational, independent thinking, and advanced research capacities. Students finish with the skills to confidently take their place in the globally connected world.
We’re passionate about seeing our students discover their talents, skills, and abilities, extend their social networks, and increase their confidence. Extracurriculars at LHS provide an important space for teenagers to have fun and relax away from the pressures of scholastic achievement. Our thriving athletics, drama, arts, choir, and band programs are complemented by 100 clubs & student unions. We send graduates to top art schools, including Pratt, Parsons, MICA, PNCA, and all the respected California art colleges. Lincoln is increasingly known for its state award-winning choir, and our band performs in the Rose Festival Parade yearly. And our theater program has been invited to the Edinburgh Thespian Festival. Students grow in character and leadership skills through our vibrant enrichment programs. Universities and employers are always pleased to see the well-rounded opportunities our students have participated in during high school.
